Hello there!

I’m Dan Ernawa, a strategic communication practitioner working across public relations, brand strategy and creative execution.

I’m interested in the part before the deliverable begins understanding what people think, what organisations need, where the disconnect sits, and what communication can realistically change.

Before deciding what to say or how something should look, I try to understand what is actually happening: what people need, where perceptions differ, what is getting in the way, and what the organisation is trying to achieve.

To me, strategy is the bridge between that understanding and the communication that follows.

Good communication starts with understanding the problem, not choosing the message.

How I work

01 - UNDERSTAND

What is actually happening?

Research the context, audience, stakeholders and underlying tensions before jumping into execution.

02 - DEFINE

What problem are we solving?

Separate the communication problem from symptoms around it.

03 - STRATEGISE

What needs to change?

Identify the shift needed in understanding, perception, behaviour or positioning.

04 - CREATE

Translate the strategy into messages, experiences, content, identity or communication systems.

What should we create?
